powells-night-2015.jpg.332x166_defaultThis is a local Bookstore that I absolutely adore. It is massive, has used and new books (and accessories,) a great vibe, and a coffee shop! I could spend all day here 🙂 Tell us about a local bookstore/shop that you love.

  1. Please check out my book, BUDDY BLOOM WILDFLOWER (A Tale of Struggle and Celebration)
Written for children ages 8 to 80 it teaches the value of struggle, the joy of friendship, and the celebration of life. Available on Amazon and wherever fine books are sold. Thank you. Jerry Snider

  2. Currently reading a fabulous book – an old-fashioned book, just a good story, well told. It’s titled The Secret Wisdom of the Earth by Christopher Scotten. love, love, love this story and these characters. And best tea right now – available at Cherie Anne’s (York, PA – but they do ship) is Pineapple Upside Down Cake. It’s a black tea and whenever I brew it, my son thinks I’m making cinnamon buns, (but the tea isn’t cinnamony).

  3. This is lovely 🙂 I get most books from the library because I like to get a huge pile of books, just because they’re pretty and so I can’t afford to buy them. On the other hand, I tend to get a lot of library fines, so I do end up spending out in that way, but it doesn’t feel like a waste of money, somehow. I love books 🙂 I really like your website, it is a lovely and beautiful celebration of books! ❤

  4. First, you hit my sweet spot with Powell’s. Two lifelong friends of mine just retired after working at Powell’s for decades, and I’ve been fortunate to have a behind-the-scenes tour of that temple of books. One of the world’s great places.
We discovered an excellent bookstore in Albuquerque, New Mexico: Bookworks, 4022 Rio Grande Blvd. NW • Albuquerque, NM 87107. A little off the typical tourism routes in ABQ, but an excellent resource, and active in promoting reading, authors and books in the area. http://www.bkwrks.com. They have an engaging newsletter.
