“Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.
“Pooh!” he whispered.
“Yes, Piglet?”
“Nothing,” said Piglet,
taking Pooh’s paw.
“I just wanted to be sure of you.”
A.A. Milne
The House at Pooh Corner
There are so many profound lines and paragraphs by Milne. Many more that could and probably will make the list.
However, this endearing exchange truly touches my soul.

Such a beautiful moment ! Certainly one of Milne’s loveliest !

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying good bye so hard”. -Winnie the Pooh (A.A.Milne) I love this one and just sent it to my grandson who lost a dear pet.

I don’t know. I never got into Pooh……it was a thing but maybe I missed it. I’m ok with it. I can still appreciate it .

There’s this story by Shel Silverstein called ” The Missing Piece Meets the Big O”.
This banana shaped piece ( with sharp edges) has been sitting around waiting for someone to come along for him to fit into. The Big O meets him but then moves along saying ” I’m not missing a piece, so I’m rolling along. The piece says ” I have sharp corners, I’m not shaped for rolling.” The Big O says ” corners wear off and shapes change.”
It’s kind of strange. I have several of his quirky books, “The Giving Tree” being the most well known, but the quote about changing shapes has always stuck out with me.

Oh my gosh, I love Pooh and Piglet. We watched hours upon hours of Pooh video tapes when our kids were small and they always left me with such a nice feeling. Theses stories are not just for little kids. Their message is much deeper!

“Sure of you”? Ok. But then you might be wrong. See Snoopy’s title…

Jumping on the Pooh bandwagon:
“What day is it?” said Pooh.
“It’s today.” squeaked Piglet.
“My favorite day!” said Pooh.
And a bonus from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
“I could tell you my adventures – beginning from the morning” said Alice a little timidly “but it’s not use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.”
