Profound Paragraphs VII

In honor of the graduating season, I thought I’d share this Seussical gem.

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…”

Oh The Places You’ll Go!, Dr. Seuss
“Life may be a ‘Great Balancing Act,’ but through it all
‘There’s fun to be done.’”

What’s your favorite Seussical quote?

  1. I had never read this until a few years ago. I was babysitting my then three-year-old nephew and he requested it as his bedtime story. Oh man, I totally started crying while I was reading this damn child’s book to a child! It was intense.

  2. One of my favorites is:
“I’ve heard there are troubles of more than one kind; some come from ahead, and some come from behind. But I’ve brought a big bat. I’m all ready, you see; now my troubles are going to have troubles with me! “
