A stunning and warm library. During a fire in 937, the Abbey was destroyed, but the library remained intact.

The Vatican Library (Rome)
Formally established in 1475, (although much older) it is one of the oldest libraries in the world and contains one of the most significant collections of historical texts. It currently has 75,000 codices from throughout history, as well as 1.1 million printed books, which include some 8,500 incunabula.
Melk Abbey Library (Austria)
The Melk Library was orginially a palace. The library has two floors and around 80,000 volumes of priceless works.

Einsiedeln Abbey Library (Switzerland)
The abbey is dedicated to Our Lady of the Hermits, the title being derived from the circumstances of its foundation, for the first inhabitant of the region was Saint Meinrad, a hermit. I could very easily become a hermit myself with this as my haven!

I personally like all of them for different reasons. I prefer to use paperbacks for everyday reading, but I like to get a copy of my favorite books in the hardback. Sometimes it just depends on the book, in the bookstore one or the other will speak to me, I would say I’m 70/30 (paperback/hardback) roughly. I will say one of my many quirks is that if I start a series with a hard/paperback, I have to finish them all the same! As far as e-books, they are convenient now and then, but I don’t think I will ever fully convert. I think that audiobooks are great for car-rides!
It’s Tuesday again and yes I still have more tbr books I have yet to share. I know, it’s a problem.

It’s actually because of the synopsis of “Lolita” that I’ve yet to read it…
I feel I may end up regretting it or torn between not finishing it…
Yet it’s always lingering there on my shelf asking me if I’m ever going to read it,
