Enchanting Wishlist

this1
As I’ve said before I love enchanting books. Books that are eerie and magical, meaningful and uplifting. Books that are filled with spirit, and make you want to read them like poetry. I have read plenty, but there are so many out there. I have a list of books of this nature piling up.

Here is my wishlist of enchanting reads:

Wildwood Dancing
High in the Transylvanian woods, at the castle Piscul Draculi, live five daughters and their doting father. It’s an idyllic life for Jena, the second eldest, who spends her time exploring the mysterious forest with her constant companion, a most unusual frog. But best by far is the castle’s hidden portal, known only to the sisters. Every Full Moon, they alone can pass through it into the enchanted world of the Other Kingdom.

  2. I really liked Wildwood Dancing. Different and enchanting. Apparently there is a sequel. I am going to have to check it out. So thank you for that. Also the covers for both books are so pretty. I am now following your blog 🙂 Also loved the book bean recipe on this one. Happy Reading!

  3. Juliet Marillier is my favourite, favourite author!!! I have read all her books over and over. Can’t wait for the third in the Blackthorn & Grimm series. I think the Wildwood Dancing and Cybele’s Secret were my least favourite, possibly because they are the ‘young adult’ ones… But when I say ‘least favourite’, I still really enjoyed them. I just loved all the others more!

  4. Nice wish list you’ve got here. If I had a wish list of books it would have to be books by Stephen King, I’m heavy into his writing right now.

      • Oooh, I love “Beauty” too, as “Beauty and the Beast” is my favourite, ever. “The Chronicles of Narnia” is a series that I can read again and again. “The Windvale Sprites” is quite an enchanting little tale, I love the illustrations too. “The Book of Tomorrow” is an ordinary story that turns magical and I couldn’t put it down!

      • Great minds think alike! Beauty and the Beast is my favorite as well, and as I’ve mention so many times here on my blog, I could read and re-read The Chronicles of Narnia and never get sick of it. I haven’t heard of the last two books you mentioned, so I will be looking them up for sure! 🙂

      • So much in common, I look forward to reading and exploring more of your blog! I think they’re supposed to be aimed at a ‘Young Adult’ audience but they were both gfifted to me and are very special for different reasons! Let me know if you like the sound of them, I think that you could like “The Book of Tomorrow” being a bookworm yourself 🙂

  7. I really really enjoyed your blog 🙂 I like finding out about other people who enjoy different books than the ones that are marketed all over the place. I still need to figure out a lot about blogging, however, I just wanted to let you know that I am finding out how to respond and engage on my blog, I did notice you liked my posts, so thank you for that, and I really hope you get your hands on all your book wishlist here 🙂 I am from Romania, so Transilvania is a region where I am from. 🙂 I know there are so many stories and magical things and books written. If you ever have the chance to visit it, do it, you will like its wilderness and at the same time peacefulness that it offers 🙂
