Binges

It’s sad but true
11825910_10153189182672054_1270667802845936382_nSometimes I actually fear a new book that I anticipate to be enrapturing. Knowing how easily I can loose sleep, patience, and/or meals, if it’s good enough.
It doesn’t stop me, but it’s real.
What was the last book you binge read?

  1. Everything I’ve read lately is just okay. Nothing I would recommend. 😦 I feel bad about that. Some I just stopped reading, since I think it’s a waste of time to read a book I don’t care about. Always searching for the one that will keep me up all night.

  2. I wish I had time to binge read like I used to. But now I’m lucky to get 30-60 minutes here or there. But the other day when I should’ve been doing other things, I did keep reading JK Rowling’s latest (Career of Evil). I was so close to the end, I just had to finish it.

  3. My last binge read was Tess D’Ubervilles I like the classics and I just kept wanting to know where it was all headed. I like being transported in time especially to try and relate how it may have been for a woman.

  4. Absolutely LOVE the quote! Actually, I am doing that right now!! Coming by to say “hello” and thank you for stopping by my blog a few days back! I have fallen in love with your site as soon as I opened up to your home page:) Nice and comfortable…like curling up with a good book as they say:) And as for the quote…completely agree, disregard for tomorrow and the clock that makes its nasty sound at 5:30 a.m! Looking forward to reading more from your Cafe:) blessings, denise

    • You are so kind, thank you! I enjoy getting to interact with lovely like minded people, such as your self 🙂 What are you reading? I hope your reading hang over is not too bad tomorrow, and that you have good coffee/tea to counteract it!

      • Hi Abbie:) I am finishing up my day in the Word, but as you “happen” to ask, was in a book store just yesterday! And as I live 30 miles from town, and a good 70 miles from any major book store, a trip to the book store to linger up and down the aisles is pure heaven! I am a “book” reader. I want to feel the pages between my fingers. At this time of year, I do like to reread “Shepherds Abiding” by Jan Karon, but I will wait a week for that yet. Kinda save it for right up in the Holidays. The book I picked up, (on sale too!) is “The Circle Maker” by Mark Batterson. Looking forward to “praying circles around my biggest dreams” which is what I need to be doing now:) Looking forward to visiting more with you:)

  5. I can’t binge read except at night because my two dogs demand my attention. And, if I stay up too late they get me up early for their breakfast. The latest book I read was “The Boston Girl” by Anita Diamant. I didn’t like it as much as The Red Tent, but I couldn’t put it down. There is something so comforting about reading a good story with a character you like. Thanks for liking my blog!
